Kathleen’s passion for functional medicine stems from her experience working in a pediatric outpatient gastrointestinal clinic in a major hospital for almost three years. She worked with children with eosinophilic esophagitis, celiac disease, multiple food allergies, constipation, food protein-induced enterocolitis syndrome, irritable bowel syndrome, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, standard and blenderized tube feedings, failure to thrive, and more. She also served on a multidisciplinary feeding disorders team, working with nurse practitioners and psychiatrists to address feeding issues, which included mealtime behaviors, parent-child interactions, and nutrient deficiencies or excesses. As a dietitian with a passion for functional medicine, Kathleen understands and appreciates the importance of functional lab testing, connecting system imbalances, and addressing root causes to help patients heal in a holistic manner.
